ITINERARY
Day 1 : CHENNAI – THIRUTTANI – KANCHIPURAM
Arrive in Chennai and enjoy a Meet & Greet with SSTA Travel & Tour Representative before proceeding to Thiruttani Murugan Temple (approx. 2 hrs). After darshan, travel to Kanchipuram (approx. 2.5 hrs) and visit Kamakshi Amman Temple, Ekambareswarar Temple, and Varadharaja Perumal Temple. In the evening, explore local silk shops for Kanchipuram sarees. Overnight stay in Kanchipuram.
DAY 2: KANCHIPURAM – TIRUVANNAMALAI
After breakfast, drive to Tiruvannamalai (approx. 3 hrs). Visit Arunachaleswarar Temple, represents the Fire element, and experience spiritual peace at Ramana Maharshi Ashram. Evening free for Girivalam (optional) or relaxation. Overnight stay in Tiruvannamalai.
Day 3 : TIRUVANNAMALAI – SWAMIMALAI – KUMBAKONAM
Depart for Swamimalai (approx. 4.5 hrs) and visit Swamimalai Murugan Temple, one of the six sacred abodes of Lord Murugan. Continue to Kumbakonam (approx. 30 mins) and visit Adi Kumbeswarar Temple, Sarangapani Temple, and Mahamaham Tank. Evening at leisure. Overnight stay in Kumbakonam.
DAY 4 : KUMBAKONAM – MADURAI
Morning drive to Madurai (approx. 5 hrs). Visit the magnificent Meenakshi Amman Temple and explore the historical Thirumalai Nayakar Palace. In the evening, visit Azhagar Kovil or explore the Gandhi Museum. Overnight stay in Madurai.
Day 5 : MADURAI – THIRUCHENDUR – MADURAI
Depart for Thiruchendur (approx. 3.5 hrs) to visit Thiruchendur Murugan Temple, beautifully set along the beach. Free time to relax or explore nearby areas. Return to Madurai in the evening (approx. 3.5 hrs). Overnight stay in Madurai.
Day 6 : MADURAI – PALANI – TRICHY
Travel to Palani Murugan Temple (approx. 2.5 hrs) for darshan. Continue to Trichy (approx. 3 hrs) and visit the sacred Srirangam Ranganathaswamy Temple and the hilltop Rockfort Temple. Overnight stay in Trichy.
Day 7 : TRICHY – CHENNAI
Depart for Chennai (approx. 5 hrs by road or 1 hr by flight). Upon arrival, relax or visit Marina Beach, Kapaleeshwarar Temple, and Fort St. George (if time permits). Evening shopping at T. Nagar or explore the city. Overnight stay in Chennai.
Day 8 : DEPARTURE FROM CHENNAI
After breakfast, free time for shopping. Return to the hotel in the afternoon to freshen up before proceeding to the airport by 6:00 PM for departure.
