Discover the best of Japan on this 9D6N Osaka, Kyoto, Mount Fuji and Tokyo journey, combining culture, scenery, shopping and modern city experiences. Begin in Osaka with its famous castle park, lively Dotonbori area and iconic Glico Running Man Sign. Continue to Kyoto, the cultural heart of Japan, where beautiful temples, traditional streets, bamboo groves and shrine pathways offer a memorable insight into Japan’s heritage. Enjoy an exciting Shinkansen bullet train experience towards Mount Fuji, followed by scenic lake views, a kimono experience and the charming Saiko Iyashi no Sato Nenba village. Day 1 – Kuala Lumpur to Osaka
Accommodation: Overnight on board
Assemble at Kuala Lumpur International Airport for your scheduled flight to Osaka, Japan. Upon arrival at the airport, complete the check-in formalities, baggage drop, security screening, and immigration clearance with the assistance of the SSTA Tour and Travel Representative. After boarding, sit back, relax, and enjoy your overnight journey to Japan. Meals and in-flight services will be provided according to the airline’s arrangements. Get ready to begin an exciting Japan adventure upon arrival in Osaka the next day.
Day 2 – Arrival in Osaka and City Discovery
Hotel: Dotonbori Crystal 3 or similar, Local 4-star
Upon arrival in Osaka, meet the local representative and begin your city tour. Visit Osaka Castle Park, one of the city’s most famous landmarks, before continuing to the nostalgic Shinsekai district. Enjoy an outside view of Tsutenkaku Tower, then proceed to Dotonbori, a lively entertainment and food area well known for its colourful signboards and vibrant atmosphere. Day 3 – Osaka to Kyoto: Arashiyama and Traditional Kyoto
After breakfast, transfer to Kyoto, Japan’s beautiful cultural capital. Visit Arashiyama Bamboo Forest, a peaceful and scenic area surrounded by tall bamboo groves. Continue to Togetsukyo Bridge and Katsura River for lovely riverside views. Later, visit Kiyomizu-dera Temple, one of Kyoto’s most celebrated temples, followed by a walk through the charming Sannenzaka and Ninenzaka streets. End the day at Gion Street, known for its traditional buildings and graceful old-town atmosphere. Proceed to the hotel for check-in.
Day 4 – Kyoto Cultural and Heritage Tour
Hotel: Kyoto Dai-Ichi Hotel or similar class, 4-star
After breakfast, visit Fushimi Inari Taisha, one of Kyoto’s most iconic shrines, famous for its thousands of red Senbon Torii gates. Continue to Kinkaku-ji, also known as the Golden Pavilion, a stunning temple beautifully reflected on its surrounding pond. After sightseeing, return to the hotel and rest.
Day 5 – Kyoto to Mount Fuji by Shinkansen
Hotel: Fujisan Garden Hotel Hot Spring or similar class, 4-star
After breakfast at the hotel, begin an exciting journey towards the Mount Fuji region. Enjoy a memorable ride on Japan’s world-famous Shinkansen bullet train to Mishima Station, experiencing the comfort, speed and efficiency of Japan’s modern railway system.
Upon arrival, continue by coach towards the scenic Mount Fuji area. Visit Saiko Iyashi no Sato Nenba, a charming traditional village located near Lake Saiko. This beautifully restored village features thatched-roof houses, local craft shops and cultural displays, offering a glimpse into Japan’s countryside lifestyle. Guests may also enjoy a kimono experience, perfect for memorable photos with the village scenery and Mount Fuji backdrop.
Continue to enjoy the natural beauty of the Fuji Five Lakes area, including Lake Saiko and the picturesque Lake Kawaguchiko surroundings. Stop at Oishi Park, a popular lakeside viewing spot known for its seasonal flowers and stunning views of Mount Fuji, subject to weather conditions.
Day 6: Mount Fuji - Tokyo
After breakfast, transfer to Tokyo and begin your sightseeing tour. Visit Asakusa, one of Tokyo’s most historic districts, and explore Senso-ji Temple, Kaminarimon Gate and Nakamise Shopping Street. Continue to Ueno District and Shopping Street, where travellers can enjoy shopping and local city atmosphere. After dinner, return to the hotel.
Day 7: Tokyo City Tour
After breakfast, proceed to Shibuya, one of Tokyo’s most famous modern districts. Visit Shibuya Crossing and the Hachiko Memorial Statue, followed by Ginza Shopping District, known for its stylish boutiques and elegant city streets. Continue to Tsukiji Hongwanji, a unique temple with Indian-inspired architecture. After dinner, enjoy views of Odaiba Waterfront, Tokyo Bay and Rainbow Bridge before returning to the hotel.
Day 8: Tokyo - Kuala Lumpur
After breakfast, proceed to the airport for your return flight to Kuala Lumpur. Take home wonderful memories of Japan’s culture, scenery, shopping and city highlights.
